Since 2011, The New Music Generator has been promoting and supporting local unsigned bands and artists in the East Anglia through radio.
The brand is also involved in local events such as Strawberry Fair, Cambridge Rock Festival, Homegrown Music Festival and The Big Weekend
The natural progression to the support of unsigned music through radio is to give the artists an opportunity to perform live on a stage, in a popular music venue – and this is how the NMG Sessions idea was born.
During each event we presented 4 local unsigned or independently signed musicians from the local area, give them a stage and an audience for them to show the rest of the city what they’re made of – and of course, we were there broadcasting it all too
NMG Sessions finished in 2016.
